This can also include transportation and assistance with doctors appointments, shopping for food, shopping for personal items, eating out at restaurants, or any other activity where transportation and assistance is needed.▪ Increasing skills- Assistance acquiring skills and knowledge desired to live a quality of life chosen by you.The Medicaid Waiver program calls the above services Personal Assistance Habilitation (PAB). Full Life provides Personal Assistance Habilitation levels 1, 2 and 3.Personal Assistance/Habilitation services help individuals learn skills necessary to live in the community and increase economic self-sufficiency, and also support the individual with daily activities.Necessary skills may include personal grooming, preparing meals, eating, bed making, doing household chores, and participating in community activities. Daily activities may include in-home activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, preparing meals and cleaning, as well as accessing community resources, increasing circle of supports, and supporting health and safety.These services are provided by hiring a person that you choose (someone you know, your parent if you are over 18, or someone that Full Life recruits and you interview) and training them to support you in your chosen areas. Full Life provides a thorough orientation, including CPR/1st Aid, Positive Behavioral Supports, Self Determination, and more. Plus, we train the individual on your specific goals. Full Life also does background checks, and pre-interviews the applicants before you interview them.▪ Household assistance/cleaningThis service is called Chore under the Medicaid Waiver. This service provides routine cleaning, or chore type services, in your home whether or not you are present. Chore service is available to individuals with developmental disabilities who live independently or with family members who are elderly or unable to assist with household maintenance. This can include cleaning appliances, doing dishes, laundry, garbage removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. ▪ Employment- Help finding and maintaining a job or career, including looking for the job, applying, and on-the-job assistance once the job starts.Employment Services include pre-vocation skills and all of the necessary assistance needed to find, obtain, and keep a job. This includes job hunting, social skills while at the job, and other necessary job skills such as showing up on time and appropriate dress if this is needed. This would include having someone on the job with you until you are able to work on your own.
